Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Andrew's Port Placement
Andrew went into the operating room around 10:30 for his port placement. The surgery will take about 1 hour. He was riding in style in his wagon!
On April 5, 2010 we took Andrew into the doctor because he was having trouble breathing. The doctor recommended a steriod treatment. Before giving steriods, they needed to check his white blood cell count. His white blood cell and platelet counts came back low. The doctor observed Andrew for about a week before sending us to a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. This new doctor did a bone marrow scan to see what was happening inside Andrew's bone marrow. Andrew was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. Aplastic Anemia is a blood disorder where the bone marrow fails to replace new blood cells. This blog has been made in order to inform our family and friends of Andrew's treatments and hospital stay. Please feel free to share with other people. If you are interested in becoming a bone marrow donor please visit http://www.marrow.org/ for further information.

Love the wagon!!!
Chloe told me, her Nana, that she misses Andrew from "McDonalds" class. Know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
